A fix for unhappy fish...

A curious gourami
Lately some of the original fish in our tank have been acting oddly. One of the two catfish, who normally snuffle around happily on the bottom, has been sitting motionless on the bottom, barely eating and only occasionally darting up to the surface for air. Lately the second catfish has been similarly listless. Research on the internet have revealed that corydoras like shoaling, and company, and so their behaviour might just be a symptom of them being lonely. We'd planned to get two gourami fish anyway - my mum advised us to get them as they are very friendly fish, who have to be bought in pairs to keep from getting lonely! So, this afternoon we went out to the local 'pets at home' store to see if they had some other bronze corys (our original species) and hopefully some gouramis too! Luckily they did, and we were quite lucky. There were only two bronze ones, but there was a four for £10 offer on and there were some albino ones available too. They are striking and with any luck they'll all get on in the tank. There were also some stunning blue and orange gouramis - and all have been added happily to our tank ^_^.
